FX Brings Immersive TV Magic To San Diego Comic-Con 2024

San Diego Comic-Con attendees were treated to an extraordinary experience as FX transformed the Hilton Bayfront Lawn into a captivating wonderland for TV fans. The highlight of the event, known as #FXSDCC, featured immersive experiences that brought beloved series to life, offering fans a unique opportunity to step into the worlds of their favorite shows.

Thursday’s event kicked off with appearances by stars from the hit comedy series What We Do in the Shadows. Guests included Mark Proksch, Matt Berry, Kristen Schaal, executive producer and director Kyle Newacheck, and executive producer and writer Paul Simms. The actors and creators mingled with fans, sharing stories and laughs, much to the delight of the gathered crowd.

Among the immersive attractions, a standout was the meticulously recreated interior of The Bear restaurant, inspired by the critically acclaimed series. Fans had the chance to explore the pop-up eatery, which featured exclusive merchandise and a daily chef’s special that kept visitors coming back for more.

For thrill-seekers, the FX Fearless Hellevator provided an adrenaline-pumping ride through twelve spine-chilling scenes from the American Horror Story universe. This year, the experience also included a sneak peek into Grotesquerie, the upcoming horror series from Ryan Murphy, set to premiere this fall. The Hellevator’s eerie ambiance and heart-stopping surprises made it a must-visit for horror aficionados.

In addition to these attractions, fans could pose for photos in front of iconic backdrops from popular FX shows. The exterior of Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia offered a perfect photo op for devotees of the long-running sitcom. Meanwhile, scenes from What We Do in the Shadows provided a gothic and humorous setting for memorable snapshots.

The #FXSDCC event runs through Sunday, July 28, offering fans plenty of time to immerse themselves in these one-of-a-kind experiences. As the weekend continues, more visitors are expected to flock to the Hilton Bayfront Lawn to join in the fun.
