Yesterday director Taika Waititi shared a galactic glimpse of Thor: Love and Thunder BTS. Specifically Waititi posted some images to social media from the filming of the latest Thor movie where he had his kids on set. Now, as much as I think it’s cute to see Taika playing with his kids and stuff, you’re not here for the lovey dovey are you? In the images taken from the set of Thor: Love and Thunder we can see an environment in the background which appears to be on a rock in space. Imagine the environment we first saw Thanos appear at the end of Avengers and that’s it.
Actually don’t imagine it, have a look for yourself.
Sweet photos of me tenderly criticising my 5 year old's performance and telling her where she went wrong in the last take. And the aftermath. #dadwin #SpendingSchoolHolidaysAtWORK

You know what would be great, if we could somehow magically colorize these images. Abracadabra!

I know visually these atmosphere less environments look cool, but I always wonder how these beings get any air. I guess we are talking about Thor here and Thanos, it’s not Ant-Man running about in space with no Oxygen. Despite all the set photos prior showing us events being filmed in New Asgard, Waititi himself has teased a cosmic setting for this movie previously. Remember, Waititi said we are getting Space Sharks, maybe this is the home of the Space Sharks? I wonder if they’ll have frikking lasers on their backs as well, or is that too much to ask for?
Lastly I totally get where Waititi is coming from with his daughter. My own slightly older little one was never good at receiving any kind of feedback a year ago. Never mind Taika, these could be the steps that end up leading her into acting when she grows. I hope he managed to get them in a little cameo appearance whilst they were on set, but pf course that would have been far easier on the New Asgard set that this barren place seems to be.
Can’t wait for the craziness that will be Thor: Love and Thunder. What do you think of this galactic glimpse of Thor: Love and Thunder BTS? You can tell I’m pleased with that alliterative title.
