So, it turns out despite a previous rumor, Galactus is NOT a unique being in the Multiverse according to the Barside Buzz. Not a major story but one I felt we had to cover given we shared the original rumor. You can catch that one in the related section below. However, the main thing to note is that this information today comes from the same source. Now, he’s saying he got the original scoop wrong.
Alex P of TCC who is one of the best leakers in terms of hit rate out there right now had originally claimed that Galactus would be a unique being within the Marvel Multiverse. In other words, across all Universes, there was only one Galactus.
However Alex has now walked back that claim in a recent Q&A. The Q&A itself didn’t reveal much else worth covering. This answer (quoted below) however, I felt needed to be covered.
‘So, I spoke out of turn when I was discussing Galactus in the podcast and referred to him as the only being in the multiverse. I take full blame for that and want to say right now I was wrong in that aspect. I was course corrected by my source after the podcast, and they explained that he’s not the only Galactus in the Multiverse, but rather, he emerged from another universe, particularly following along to a comic run that released in 2013 titled Hunger. So I highly recommend that everyone read that comic run in preparation for Fantastic Four.’

Now I think Alex may have slightly erred again in his comic book suggestion. Hunger may be the start of the run Alex is referring to, but I think it’s more Cataclysm which comes after that would touch on this. Though, my memory isn’t what it once was, so don’t quote me on that.
Okay, so the rumored we shared above, ignore it. I think all this really does is reset the board. Though, I do think a few of the supposed leaks that appeared recently now look a little silly as they included this point. Talking of which there are a ton of rumors around right now. The plot of The Fantastic Four and the supposed plot of The Kang Dynasty (if it had got made). I want to point out that a lot of this is coming from very dubious sources. Ergo, I’m not covering it.
It always made more sense to me that Galactus would somehow be left in the FF Universe as the group escape to the 616. It also made sense to me that the next time we see Galactus he’d have Norrin Radd and not Shalla-Bal as his Herald in the 616. This always made more sense to me than the unique being angle.
