For many seasons on Game of Thrones, we have seen Jon Snow (Kit Harington) play a stoic, stone-cold man, beset by what was required of him as a bastard of a king. Harington believes this needs needs to change, but how will this change in the upcoming season? Harrington had this to say about his character Jon Snow, taken directly from Time Magazine, and it includes a revelation that he initially didn’t seem to get the character:
“I made mistakes and felt that he wasn’t interesting enough. That sounds weird, but I’ve never been quite content with him. Maybe that’s what makes him him. That angst. This year there is this huge seismic shift where all of what he’s learned over the years, suddenly…He’s still the same Jon, but he grows up.”

While Jon Snow has become one of my favorite characters, I will admit that at first I was bored by his story. I was much more interested in the Lannisters or the Targaryens, especially one non-gold crowned Mother of Dragons. This statement of his implies that his brooding days are over. It also tells me that he will attempt to go in a more “kingly” direction this season, especially if we know the spoiler spoiler spoiler to be true (Search this at your own peril).
At the end of the day we must wonder, with only a few episodes left; what will become of Jon, Dany, Tyrion, the Starks that are left, Cersei, Jamie, and most importantly — Varys (The man I believe that will eventually take the Iron Throne).
Just how will this Season play out? Will their be a union? Will Cersei get what she deserves? Will Jaime end up being the sympathetic character he has been painted into, or will the Kingslayer return?
