Game Of Thrones: The Complete Collection Blu-Ray Details – It Looks Amazing

Well, folks, I have been waiting and holding off on ever buying any of the box-sets of Game of Thrones so far, because I figured the best one would be left for last. I wasn’t wrong as HBO has announced their Complete Collection box-set through press release and it looks stunning.

Above you can catch the trailer for one of the special features on the set, the Game of Thrones: Reunion Special hosted by Conan O’Brien. I think the most attractive aspect of the Complete Collection for this fan is the artwork on the packaging itself, check out some images below.

Rather than me try and explain all the features the Complete Collection has, I will let HBO speak for themselves.

Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection
Blu-ray™: December 3, 2019
Rating: TV-MA
Runtime: Approx. 75 hours (not including extra features)

Now, I’ll admit that as far as Season 8 goes, I was one of the very disappointed fans. It all felt too rushed and character development was traded against spectacle in a way that seemed alien to this particular show. Saying that, it remains one of my favorite TV shows of all time, and probably up until Season 7/8 it was my favorite franchise of all time, eclipsing many other favorites as the story I was most obsessed by. So I very much want this box-set for Xmas, I just hope I can afford it?

No details have been revealed about a 4K Ultra HD version as yet, though that will be released for Season 8 on its own as you can see above. My thoughts right now are more whether I should wait for the inevitable 4K version, and it’s inevitably steeper price?
