Gamers Prove They’re Idiots Over Latest Xbox Series X Rumor | LRM’s Barside Buzz

This is no shocking news, this latest Xbox Series X rumor has been going around for a while. Though, I guess the source this time is a little more solid than those floating around previously. The rumor is, that the Xbox Series X will utilise the same UI as currently on the Xbox One. The idea here, is to have a parity on both consoles, seen as gamers will still be able to play together across both platforms.

So while natural evolutionary changes are going to happen, any changes will be reflected on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X. This information comes from senior editor at The Verge, Tom Warren. Check it out.

Hardly the most shocking reveal as I said above. Though, by the reaction of some gamers replies on this post, you’d think it was some kind of disgrace. The only logical reason to be annoyed by Xbox Series X having a similar UI, is because you dislike that current UI. So this critical post below, this is logical, whether you agree or not.

Whereas, these next two posts I found, (there were others), show a complete lack of logic. These people are not saying the UI is bad, but that not changing it for the sake of changing it is a terrible move. What is wrong with people?

latest Xbox Series X rumor

This reminds me of how flabbergasted I was with the discussion after this week’s PS5 reveal. I was watching the stream live and after it ended, the commentators spent around ten minutes talking about how cool the design was and how bright the color scheme was. I’ve seen gamers say that they won’t buy the Xbox Series X, because the PS5 is prettier. What? Am I living in some kind of alternate world where Humanity’s IQ has dropped collectively?

No one buys a console so it looks good underneath your TV. I wouldn’t care if it looked like top loading VCR from the early 80’s. There are several reason for a gamer to choose one console over the other. What games are available, and what console do they run best on? Where do my friends play, and will I be able to game with them? What is my current game library like and will I get access to the content I already own? Which console has the exclusives that matter most to me? All reasonable questions with subjective answers.

The design of a console, or the fact the UI is changing or not. These to me are illogical reason to reject one of these consoles. It tends to make me think that those claiming this is awful mustn’t even be Xbox players. Would you really give up your game progress, owned games, friends and franchises you like, because the UI is not going to be brand new? If something isn’t broken, why fix it? Surely a natural evolution of a design that works is superior to starting again because….new?

Am I wrong? Are these responses to the latest Xbox Series X rumor valid? Feel free to debate your case in the usual place below.
