According to the latest Barside Buzz, Gangja Monteiro is the rumored director of The Witches Road Special Presentation for Marvel Studios. Whilst not official, we have reported this rumor before. Seemingly during the filming of Agatha: Coven of Chaos, a new (and final) Special Presentation was also filmed, called The Witches Road.
Well according to insider CWGST on Instagram, Monteiro, who directed 2 episodes of Wednesday, and one episode of Agatha, was also the director of The Witches Road.
As for what The Witches Road will cover, we can’t say for certain? However, rumors are that The Witches Road is a place only sorcerers can enter. There are also some rumors this may set the stage for the return of Wanda back into the MCU. Last we saw the MCU version of Wanda she seemingly killed herself in an explosion. Wanda’s aim was to destroy all versions of the Darkhold across the Multiverse at Mt. Wundagore. Though, that being said, no one ever thought she was truly gone forever.

How The Witches Road will link into Agatha is unknown. However, there are rumors the SP is a prequel to the Agatha series rather than a continuation. That remains to be seen though.
We also previously covered the rumor that The Witches Road will be the last Marvel SP on Disney+ for the forseeable. It seems these one off’s even if filmed alongside another project simply cost too much money. I guess they must not be attracting subscribers? Again though, this is all Barside Buzz until we hear something more official.
