If you thought Sing was good, then Sing 2 is just two times as good! Garth Jennings takes us on another journey to pursue dream accompanied by fun music. And remember, it’s okay to clap when you watch this film.
The Synopsis
This holiday season, the new chapter in Illumination’s animated franchise arrives with big dreams and hit songs as the ever-optimistic Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) and his cast of performers prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet …all in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There’s just one hitch: They first have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star—played by Academy Award® nominee and global music icon BONO, in his animated film debut—to join them.
Garth Jennings began his career directing music videos. He is also a screenwriter, producer and actor. His work has been seen in The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, Son of Rainbow, The Deadly 7 and of course, Sing. Jennings is part of Hammer and Tong Productions.

I was connected with Garth Jennings to talk about Sing 2. He spoke about how this film came about and the advantage of having familiarity with the characters after Sing. Jennings also gave some feedback on how some of the talent’s facial expressions were captured and incorporated into their animated characters. In this conversation we could not miss mentioning Miss.Crawly.
Sing 2 will be available in theaters December 22, 2021
