The Latino community needs to support its own movies.

The cinema viewing population has a tremendous support from Latinos. Despite with that known fact, Latino-based films and Latino stars on screen make up a small population in Hollywood.

El Chicano hopes to change all that with it being the an all-Latino cast in the first Latino superhero movie.

The film follows a police detective, who is caught between the law and his past. He eventually becomes a masked street legend El Chicano to defend his neighborhood and avenge his brother’s death.

El Chicano stars Raul Castillo, Jose Pablo Cantillo, George Lopez, Aimee Garcia, David Castaneda, Mr. Criminal and Armida Lopez. It is written and directed by Ben Hernandez Bray.

LRM Online sat down exclusively with George Lopez, Aimee Garcia and Raul Castillo on why it is very important for Latinos to support Latino films like this.
