While this isn’t the first time Ghostbusters has been given another chance in the past several years, Ghostbusters 2020 does seem to have a lot more promise — at least in terms of being a bit more faithful to the style and tone of the original. Young cast aside, it will be directed by Jason Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, who helmed the original movie, so here’s hoping on that front.
Recently, Dan Aykroyd confirmed that he would be joining this reboot/sequel, and now fans will have another familiar face to look forward to. In a Cameo video sent to a fan, Ernie Hudson confirmed that he would be returning as Winston Zeddemore in the new film.

But will this be enough to garner enthusiasm? I know Ghostbusters fans are a particular bunch, and even the cameos in the 2016 Paul Feig reboot didn’t quell their anger. Hopefully, Reitman and co. have a more solid idea of what they’re looking for.
Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, McKenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, and Paul Rudd all round out the cast for Ghostbusters 2020.
