At a recent convention appearance, actor Giancarlo Esposito claims he has been cast in a Disney+ series for Marvel Studios. Esposito has long been on the campaign for any part he can get in the MCU. We knew the actor had had talks with Marvel, but it now appears like he has been cast. Who he has been cast as? Well, we have no idea, sadly. Links to the social media post below are Here.

So it sounds like Esposito is saying his character will appear initially as a tease before getting to appear in a Disney+ series. Now that does not really narrow things down very much. However, it seems unlikely he will be Professor X, a role the actor was keen to fill. It’s both too early and I don’t see us getting an X-Men Disney+ show when it will be in movie theatres.

However, what about Doctor Doom? Esposito has also talked about Doom and many fans think he’d be great. As always, some don’t also, and there’s the rub. If we go back to our rumors around Doom, it was claimed the villain would appear as a tease only in The Fantastic Four. There were also rumors that after this Doom to get his own Disney+ show to cement his place as the big bad that will stick around. Therefore, I’m not saying this is the case, or we have real evidence it is Doom. I’m just pointing out it’s a possibility still at this stage.
Where Esposito does show up remains to be seen for now. I’m sure we’ll know sooner or later if he has been cast already though.
