Gil Birmingham returns in the anticipated fifth season of Yellowstone.

The Synopsis

Yellowstone chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner, “The Postman”) who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.

The Texan native with Comanche ancestry found love in music before a career in acting crossed his path. However, he focused on his education and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from USC. While he had a job as a petrochemical engineer he also was bodybuilding and participated in contests. The place where he was approached by a talent scout and led him to his first acting gig, in Diana Ross in 1982 Muscles music video.  Since then his shift to acting has been seen in several projects including the Twilight Saga, Rango and Wind River. Earlier this year he appeared on Netflix’s Pieces of Her and FX’s Under The Banner of Heaven series.

During the press day for the upcoming season of Yellowstone I was connected with Gil Birmingham via Zoom. He discussed the predicament his character faces now that his opponent takes part in politics and what challenges will be seen and more!

The fifth season of Yellowstone premieres Sunday, November 13, 2022 exclusively on Paramount Network at 8PM ET/PT with a two hour event.
