The Wave: Director GIlle Klabin and Writer Carl W. Lucas On Creating A Very Trippy Film [Exclusive]

The Wave is definitely one of the trippiest films of the year.

The film stars Justin Long and Donald Faison about a corporate lawyer who had his plan to success derailed by a chance meeting with a mysterious girl and a reality-bending hallucinogen. The drug has him tripping through time and space to find a greater meaning to life.

The rest of the cast included Tommy Flanagan, Sheila Vand, Katia Winter, and Ronnie Gene Blevins. It marks the director feature film debut for Gille Klabin from the screenplay by Carl W. Lucas.

LRM Online spoke with the filmmakers, Klabin and Lucas, earlier this month to decipher the drug tripping experience with the cast.

The Wave is now playing in select theaters and VOD today.

Please listen to the audio interview below. The article will be updated in print format at a later date.
