Final Fantasy. A franchise with decades of history and thousands of hours worth of content for gamers to consume, its battle mechanics as deep as its stories are expansive. And with each game, while many aspects are indeed iterative, there are plenty other aspects they break the game apart and rebuild from scratch, and in some ways, that’s kind of how Final Fantasy VIII felt.

As years have gone by, Final Fantasy VIII has felt more and more like the black sheep of the family, both in terms of its romance-centric narrative and polarizing battle system. But that hasn’t stopped the love fans have for it.

Now, the official Final Fantasy channel has released a new doc that dives into Final Fantasy VIII Remastered. Check it out down below!

Needless to say, this little doc don’t exactly do much to convince haters to change their minds about the game, but those who adore it will find a lot here to sink their teeth into.
