In the newest film by Goran Stolevski, Housekeeping for Beginners we learn the real meaning of friendship and how it can repeatedly be tested throughout unknown life journeys.

The Synopsis 

Directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Goran Stolevski (YOU WON’T BE ALONE, OF AN AGE), and selected as ‘HOUSEKEEPING FOR BEGINNERS‘ explores the universal truths of family, encompassing both the bonds we inherit and those we create. The narrative revolves around Dita, who, despite never aspiring to be a mother, finds herself compelled to raise her girlfriend’s two daughters—Mia, a tiny troublemaker, and Vanesa, a rebellious teenager. As their individual wills clash, a heartwarming story unfolds about an unlikely family’s struggle to stay together.

Before Housekeeping for Beginners, Goran Stolevski made 25 shorts that have been seen in various film festivals. Some of his known films include You Deserve Everything, Would You Look At Her, You Won’t Be Alone, Of An Age and the television series Nowhere Boys. Stolevski is currently working on You’ll Love Me and True-Ish.

Before the release of Housekeeping For Beginners I was connected for the second time to speak with Goran Stolevski. He shared the backstory to what inspired him to write this film. In addition to directing scenes with the full cast, getting to work once more with Anamaria Marinca and more 

Focus Features is releasing Housekeeping For Beginners in theater, today April 5th in Los Angeles and New York. Followed with expansion the next two weeks!
