Gordon – Gordon returns to the GCPD and is immediately thrown back into action. Gordon and Bullock go to investigate a murder scene and it turns out to be the man that Barnes encountered! That man is decapitated, body hanging from a chain, and his blood is covering the wall. Barnes has truly turned in to the person he always hated! Gordon and Bullock leave to tell the Captain.
Predictions – This wasa bridging episode for Gordon. Look for his dysfunctional relationships to begin being a focal point. Mario, Lee, Barbara (eventually Vale) will begin to make Gordon’s life more complicated than it already is. He is currently in high spirits after rejoining the GCPD, but this high will come crashing down as he will not only have to deal with Captain Barnes’ transformation, but his relationship with Lee, Mario, Vale, and Barbara will begin to become much more complicated.

Lee and Mario – Carmine Falcone is throwing Lee and Mario an enormous engagement party. Lee tells Mario that Gordon has officially rejoined the GCPD, much to Mario’s dismay. Carmine returns to the show during the engagement party. Barbara shows up to the party as someone’s date! She has an interesting conversation with Lee about missing being close to the crazy life of Jim Gordon. While at the party, Carmine Falcone speaks with Captain Barnes. Ironically, Barnes tells Falcone that he isn’t above the law and that no one is. Falcone says that when men speak in such a way, they are usually trying to convince themselves rather than others.
Gordon and Bullock arrive at the party to arrest the plastic surgeon who has been behind scalping people’s faces off, when Mario asks to speak to Gordon alone. They have a heated conversation where Gordon tells him to drop the jealousy. Mario answers by punching Gordon in the face! Gordon states that he will let that one slide in honor of Lee.
Predictions – Look for this situation to heat up. Mario clearly will not budge on his feelings towards Gordon. Even though he at times seems level-headed, Gordon seems to be his breaking point, which could be seen with not only when he punched Gordon, but his tone towards him in their private conversation as well. I would also look for Carmine to start having more of a subtle, reoccurring role. Mario has spent time distancing himself from his father, but I wouldn’t be surprised to begin seeing more of the Falcone family traits arise, especially with Gordon and Lee both being back at the GCPD.
