Have you ever wanted to see a trailer…except live? Okay, maybe a live trailer for an upcoming musical film? No? Well, regardless, it’s actually a pretty cool idea. Plus, given the fact that it’s a musical, there’s something special about seeing a live performance.

Now, according to TheWrap, 20th Century Fox is doing something incredibly unique with their upcoming musical, The Greatest Showman. The outlet states that the studio will stage a live trailer for their film.

Actors Hugh Jackman, Zendaya, Zack Efron, and everyone else will actually perform the trailer out in real time during Fox’s live staging of A Christmas Story Live.

Here’s What Suzanne Sullivan, the executive VP of Entertainment Ad Sales for Fox Networks Group had to say:

“As we continue to drive innovation in both our programming and ad products, we are thrilled to be working in partnership with our sister film studio in this exciting live holiday event. We can’t wait to watch as Hugh, Zac, Zendaya and Keala make history and unwrap the first-ever live theatrical commercial on FOX’s air.”

I’m not the biggest musical guy, but to actually see them pull off a trailer in real-time would definitely be worth checking out, and from what I’ve heard, The Greatest Showman isn’t half bad.

A Christmas Story Live airs on Fox on December 17, 2017 at 7/6c.
