UPDATE: Greedy Company Sells Plastic Discs For $140 Streaming Show… Jerks | The Boys Seasons 1&2 Blu-Ray And DVD Announced (PUSHED BACK)

UPDATE: The greedy punks at Amazon and Sony, not realizing we already pay too much money to watch this show (the only show on Prime Video worth watching), are making us wait longer for the plastic discs. The corporate overlords sent an email telling us to tell you, the date was pushed back to May 31st. Yup… Bezos can send people to space, but struggles to deliver tiny plastic discs on the ground. Am I done here?

ORIGINAL STORY FOLLOWS:

Just when you thought Amazon and Sony couldn’t get any more depraved, they offer us PHYSICAL media to consume their series, The Boys. The Boys Seasons 1 & 2 Blu-Ray and DVD were announced to hit stores May 17th. I mean. we already pay $140 a year for this show, right? Oh, and free shipping too. But, imagine the audacity of the thought that someone would want an uncompressed audio/video format, that can’t be changed on a reactionary whim by uploading a new file, and be able to maintain that content despite streaming/broadcast rights. No one could possibly want shows like WanadaVisionLoki, or The Mandalorian in their original formats or in TRUE 4K with UNCOMPRESSED audio. No, plastic discs are the devil! Also, they’re horrible for the environment. Unlike the thousands of servers needing massive air conditioning to keep them cool for you gluttonous, content-pigs to consume off of. Also, hard to recycle electronics are way better for Earth than plastic discs. Screw you Amazon… AND SONY!

The Boys Season 1 And 2 BluRay And DVD Announced

Save Physical Media

Sony sent an official announcement for The Boys home video release. However, I am busy fighting the real evils of the world, illogical nonsense. Although, this is actually something I support as I love uncompressed A/V, full access to extras, commentary tracks, and the ability to physically own something that can’t be changed or turned off at the push of a button. As mentioned above, this is something other idiotic companies should do. I am willing to damage the planet a bit for the preservation of physical media. We can always build more power hungry server stacks and cooler rooms for the normies out there.
