In true fan form, we’re never happy about the information we know. As of right now, we know of no less than five upcoming Marvel films over the next couple years, and yet we want to know about the next one in our favorite franchise.
For a lot of folks, their favorite franchise in this series is none other than Guardians of the Galaxy. Last year saw Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hit, and at the tail end, it teased some big things to come with Adam Warlock. So when can we expect it? In the past, Gunn has stated around 2020 as a potential year, but didn’t commit fully.
However, when answering a question from a fan on Twitter, he fully committed to 2020, as seen below:
Coming in 2020. https://t.co/2kQbPHC5gP

If you’ve been following the development of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, this likely isn’t a huge surprise to you, as 2020 has been the rumored year for some time now. With it now confirmed, we have two films slated in Phase 4, with Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 slated for July of 2019, and now Guardians in 2020.
Now we only need two more films to fill that 2020 year. However, with all Marvel Studios has said regarding Phase 4, we can likely expect it to look nothing like we’ve seen already, and we can only guess as to what that can mean for the full slate.
