Guillermo Del Toro brings us his vision of the wooden boy, Pinocchio. The film has received positive feedback after its U.S. premiere during the AFI Film Festival last week. Of course it was to be expected by the director whose imagination excels with its signature creations.
The Synopsis
Academy Award®-winning director Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth) and award winning, stop-motion legend Mark Gustafson (Claymation Easter) reimagine the classic Carlo Collodi tale of the fabled wooden boy with a whimsical tour de force that finds Pinocchio on an enchanted adventure that transcends worlds and reveals the life-giving power of love.
The filmmaker had Patrick McHale (Adventure Time) join him as co-writer. A Primetime Emmy winner for Over The Garden Wall in 2015.
