Firstly one fan asked if Peter Capaldi will have his Scottish accent within the movie. Gun confirmed that The Thinker is Scottish. A fan also asked Gunn why King Shark was not oversized ‘full tilt’ like he is in the comics. Gunn went on to explain.
“I believe he is full tilt! Bigger characters don’t make the budget bigger. King Shark could travel with the group, fit in a bus, sit in two chairs in an amphitheater or an Osprey, etc. Making him too big would have made it so he couldn’t be a part of the group.”
Next Gunn was asked why the date of August 5th was chosen and he was pretty forthcoming.
And Guardians 1 was released at the same time in 2014. Yes, I made the decision along with the producers and studio. It was the best time in the summer to get a full few weeks of @IMAX theaters, the best way to see the film.

Gunn is one of my favorite filmmakers around right now. I had some criticisms of Guardians 2, but overall I always find Gunn’s movies entertaining with a lot of heart. I also love Gunn though for how open and honest he is with fans online. I especially love it when he debunks false rumors, because deliberate false rumors are the plague of this industry. The Suicide Squad, and The Batman are without a doubt the DC movies that excite me most in recent years. The wackiness of Gunn is perfect for The Suicide Squad and The Batman looks dark and broody, which is exactly how I like my Bats.
