Haley Joel Osment started his career by seeing dead people, but it looks like he still hasn’t escaped the supernatural in the nearly two decades following The Sixth Sense in 1999.

TV Line reports that Haley Joel Osment will appear in Season 11 of The X-Files. More specifically, Osment will be a part of the season’s previously announced Skinner-centric episode, though details surrounding his role in said episode are scarce.

Season 11 of The X-Files will consist of ten episodes, whereas the unbalanced tenth season of the series only featured six. It was announced at New York Comic-Con that Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), the mysterious Assistant FBI director, would get his own episode that delves into the character’s origin story. Said Pileggi at the con:

“You’re going to find out a lot more about his past. Fans will find out who he is, where he comes from and why he is the way he is.”

Osment has had a comeback in TV these last few years, from extremely odd projects such as The Spoils of Babylon and The Spoils Before Dying, as well as a recurring role on Silicon Valley and a part in the upcoming show Future Man.

Are you excited for an episode focusing on Skinner? Do you think it’s within the realm of possibility that Osment may play a young Skinner? I want to believe!

The X-Files returns to Fox in early 2018.
