I’m a little worried. There’s no real easy way to say it.
In addition to the upcoming Star Wars spinoff Solo: A Star Wars Story being a film that we simply didn’t ask for (and that most fans don’t seem to want), all the drama behind-the-scenes seems to paint this as Lucasfilm’s first potential misstep for the franchise since Disney took the reins.

Here we are, around five months away from the film’s release, and we have yet to get even a teaser. For reference, we got a trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story around nine months prior to its actual release. The new year has hit, and we still don’t have anything to show for it. So when can we expect a trailer?
One Twitter user asked director Ron Howard that very question, and Howard’s response was as follows:
“Hang in there :-). Now that ep 8 is out there it won’t be long.”
Ever since he took the helm from Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Howard has been pretty good about sharing the whole process with fans. From his Twitter to his Instagram posts, he’s given some extra insight into the process that the other Star Wars films haven’t gotten.
This tweet from Howard is another example of his transparent and straightforward nature when making a movie. Let’s hope it doesn’t take too long for us to actually get a trailer.
