Amazon Prime has been streaming some original series that are quite addictive from action series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan to fantasy Carnival Row to comic book The Boys and to comedies like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. As expected, one of their action thriller series Hanna makes its return for season three and it’ll be action-packed.
At New York Comic-Con this weekend, it hosted a panel to debut the teaser trailer for the upcoming season and a few first-look images. As announced previously, we get a glimpse of a new character Gordon Evens (played by Ray Liotta), a respected former military man and intelligence operative who wields incredible insider power.
Obviously, Esme Creed-Miles returns as Hanna along with Mireille Enos as the former CIA agent and former nemesis.
Here’s a brief summary of season three:
Season three of Hanna continues the journey of an extraordinary young woman, Hanna, who was created by the sinister organization Utrax and trained to be an assassin. Hanna is now secretly trying to destroy Utrax from the inside and free herself from its grasp with the help of her previous nemesis, former CIA agent Marissa Wiegler. Together, they have coerced high-ranking Utrax agent John Carmichael (Dermot Mulroney) into aiding their mission, but her fellow young assassins, Sandy (Aine Rose Daly) and Jules (Gianna Kiehl), and new foes are starting to suspect Hanna’s plot. As Hanna moves closer to her goal, she begins to uncover not only a world-changing agenda but the true power behind Utrax that stands between her and freedom.

“The journey is going to be bigger and better than before. Everything lives at a much louder volume this year. It’s going to be exciting for audiences to see the next chapter of the story,” said Hanna executive producer Tom Coan at the New York City Comic-Con panel. “We had two intentions in making this show—to be more sophisticated and dynamic—and that was the centerpiece on which everything was built. We operated on the principle behind Utrax that stands between her and freedom.”
Esme Creed-Miles could not contain her excitement on the panel.
“Hanna is really special. I love her very much. If she can reach young women in a way that I would have wanted to be reached, then that’s the best I could hope for,” she said.
Mireille Enos is equally excited in her return for the season and not as the villain of the series.
Enos added that Marissa and Hanna “treated each other as equals. There’s a real acknowledgment of each other as two powerhouses.”
Season three of Hanna premieres globally on Prime Video on November 24. All six one-hour episodes stream on that date to more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
