Hasbro’s M.A.S.K. To Be Directed By The Fate Of The Furious Director

Looks like another classic toy line is going to get it’s own film. This time we are talking about Hasbro’s M.A.S.K. property.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, F. Gary Gary, director of The Fate of the Furious, will direct the project for Paramount. For the time being there are no writers attached to the project.

M.A.S.K. stands for Mobile Armed Strike Kommand and they battle the evil V.E.N.O.M. which stands for Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem. It was created in the 1980’s by the now defunct toy company Kenner. The property had several toys and a cartoon series along with comics.

Gary’s latest film The Fate of the Furious grossed a whopping $1.2 billion worldwide. His next project will be another familiar franchise as he looks to direct Sony’s Men in Black reboot which is slated to be released in July of 2019. It is set to star Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth as well as Valkyrie, Tessa Thompson.

A date for the M.A.S.K. film has not been set. This is only one of many Hasbro properties that Paramount is developing for theaters, rumored to possibly even have a shared universe which would be very interesting.
