Hawkeye gets a double episode premiere on November 14th. Fans had wondered how Disney would manage that Hawkeye‘s finale and The Book of Boba Fett‘s premiere were due to hit the same date. That is no longer an issue now. The finale of Hawkeye will be one week prior to the premiere of The Book of Boba Fett.

I think this is the smart movie because having Hawkeye‘s finale and Fett‘s premiere on the same date isn’t great for marketing or exposure. This way Disney gets to properly celebrate the end of Hawkeye. Marvel can give interviews all week, before the focus shifts to Star Wars. Fans have long been debating whether something like this may happen since the premiere dates for both shows were announced. All fans could see there was a crossover coming. I like many was convinced there would be a double episode somewhere for Hawkeye, but was not sure whether that would be the beginning or the finale. Now we know.

I also like the idea of getting two episodes in the first week and I kinda wish Disney had gone this route for WandaVision especially. Of course there are still many viewers that will wait for the finale day and then binge watch the whole show. Fans got used to this with streaming services and many just wont go back to the weekly format. Personally I like both options. However, from a business perspective I feel like weekly just creates far more buzz for a show.
At the same time, personally, I like a good old weekend binge watch of a new show, but it simply doesn’t make as much money.
What do you think as Hawkeye gets double episode premiere? Is it wise to separate Hawkeye and The Book of Boba Fett, or not? Thoughts below as always.
