Hawkeye Gets Double Episode Premiere Leaving The Book Of Boba Fett Premiere Alone

In a recent interview OG Avenger Jeremy Renner explains why he won't be returning for Hawkeye Season 2, which is rumored to go ahead anyway. First off, let us deal with the facts.  Renner had a Tik Tok interview with High Performance and he says he was asked to do Hawkeye Season 2, but for half his fee for Season 1.  “They asked me to do Season 2, and they offered me half the money. I’m like, ‘Well, it’s going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of money, and eight months of my time, essentially, to do it for half the amount.” “I’m like, ‘I’m sorry? Why? Did you think I’m only half the Jeremy because I got ran over? Maybe that’s why you want to pay me half of what I made on the first season.'” “This is not Marvel, mind you. This is like, just Disney, not even really Disney. It’s just the penny pinchers, the accountants. I told them to go fly a kite. I mean, just at the at the insult offer. So we didn’t see eye to eye on it. Sadly, I still love the character. I’d still love to do it, but I I had to defend myself. I didn’t ask for any more money, mind you. Just pay me what I made made the first season. So it’s all disheartening that that didn’t happen, but that’s fine. I’m happy to let that go, because my body’s probably thanking me, time and time again, that I’m not doing it right now. But we’ll see.” RELATED: Thunderbolts* Opens With A Fresh Score On RT After Review Embargo So Renner leaves the door open if Disney are willing to match his fee for Season 1. However, rumor wise, it seems like that might nit happen. We have a rumor from MTTSH that despite this news Hawkeye Season 2 will move ahead without Renner.  "Despite Jeremy Renner's decision to not do it a season 2 of Hawkeye, [it's] still moving forward with Hailee Steinfeld as the lead." Hmm, I have no doubt Steinfeld can lead the series if that's the direction. But, then it's not Hawkeye Season 2 is it? It's Kate Bishop Season 1, unless she takes on the Hawkeye name, which she hasn't done so far. Not sure I buy this one myself, and I could see Disney working out a deal, but I know little about the business side of Hollywood, so maybe I'm just dreaming because it ain't my money? Oh well, what do you think as Jeremy Renner explains why he won't be returning for Hawkeye Season 2? What about the rumor it will go ahead without him? Thoughts below.

Hawkeye gets a double episode premiere on November 14th. Fans had wondered how Disney would manage that Hawkeye‘s finale and The Book of Boba Fett‘s premiere were due to hit the same date. That is no longer an issue now. The finale of Hawkeye will be one week prior to the premiere of The Book of Boba Fett.

I think this is the smart movie because having Hawkeye‘s finale and Fett‘s premiere on the same date isn’t great for marketing or exposure. This way Disney gets to properly celebrate the end of Hawkeye. Marvel can give interviews all week, before the focus shifts to Star Wars. Fans have long been debating whether something like this may happen since the premiere dates for both shows were announced. All fans could see there was a crossover coming. I like many was convinced there would be a double episode somewhere for Hawkeye, but was not sure whether that would be the beginning or the finale. Now we know.

I also like the idea of getting two episodes in the first week and I kinda wish Disney had gone this route for WandaVision especially. Of course there are still many viewers that will wait for the finale day and then binge watch the whole show. Fans got used to this with streaming services and many just wont go back to the weekly format. Personally I like both options. However, from a business perspective I feel like weekly just creates far more buzz for a show.

At the same time, personally, I like a good old weekend binge watch of a new show, but it simply doesn’t make as much money.

What do you think as Hawkeye gets double episode premiere? Is it wise to separate Hawkeye and The Book of Boba Fett, or not? Thoughts below as always.
