Hawkeye to feature villain Madame Masque? Read on for more details.
We still know very little about the plot of Hawkeye. The upcoming MCU Disney+ series will feature Clint Barron and Kate Bishop, however after that, who knows? There is one interesting rumor that has popped up though. The folks over at The Direct say that Madame Masque will be a secondary villain in the show.
Madame Masque, real name Giuletta Nefaria is traditionally more of an Iron Man villain. However Nafaria also has some comics history with Hawkeye and Kate Bishop. Specifically in the comics it is revealed that Bishop’s father was a client of Nafaria’s illegal activities. Madame Masque is a skilled hand to hand combatant, and wears a golden bullet proof mask. The mask helps to cover Nefaria’s disfigured face. However it is unknown if this design will make its way into the MCU?

There are rumors that Hawkeye will be somewhat set in Madripoor. The island was also interestingly one of the locations that Madame Masque came up against Barton and Bishop in the comics. It kinda makes sense, though we are connecting two separate rumors here it should be noted. None of this is official and until it is, always take rumors with a pinch of salt. I do have a feeling these rumors are connected though, but that’s just my personal opinion for now.
