The Hawkeye trailer is here for the Marvel Disney+ show that premieres this November, 24th. Well, for me, The Hawkeye trailer shoots and scores. The Christmas vibe is totally unexpected and the show looks like fun. But have a look for yourself.
Were you expecting the Christmas vibe from Hawkeye, I was not despite knowing it was set around the holiday period. So at least we now know how Hawkeye comes across Kate Bishop. Bishop has been using the Ronin persona to attack criminals and Hawkeye seeks her out. Cue an adventure, and likely bonding, with some training and moral alignment. However, the tone and the interplay between Renner and Steinfeld does look like good fun. As my colleague Danny said, this feels like it’s got more Christmas movie than Die Hard. But will it work for Hawkeye?

So far the trailer does a good job of hiding too many surprises. I think the meeting between Hawkeye and Bishop is likely Episode 1. However what the goal is, who is all after them and why, all remain on the table. There’s also no sign of Alaqua Cox as Echo, but we know she’s in there somewhere. I’m also expecting a few other surprises. Yelena from Black Widow is another who we know shows up in a few episodes so there’s a ton we still don’t know about this show. Which, to be fair, is exactly what a trailer should be.
I was always going to be there on November 24th for Hawkeye anyway, however until now I wasn’t all that hyped for the show. I am now, this looks good fun.
