On Halloween, Disney+ tweeted that the black flame candle has been lit. They also announced the new cast members for Hocus Pocus 2. And now, we have news that the Sanderson Sisters are now “running amok.” Hocus Pocus 2 is now in production and if everything goes right, the Sanderson sistas will hopefully be defeated again in the Fall of 2022.

Disney has announced on Disney+ Day that Hocus Pocus 2 has started production. They have also shared an image of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy. The Sanderson sisters look absolutely delighted to start up trouble again. Midler, Parker and Najimy will, of course, be returning as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson.
The synopsis for Hocus Pocus 2
Three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.
The sequel’s characters that were announced back on Halloween
Joining the cast are Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Doug Jones, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, Hannah Waddingham, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson, and Nina Kitchen.

I’ve been getting more and more interested in seeing what writer, Jen D’Angelo, and director, Anne Fletcher, have brewed for this sequel. I’m starting to get excited, but now we will have to wait for the teasers and trailers.
