I’m going to go ahead and round the Game of Thrones Prequel information for you folks. So we know waht the title will most likely be, ‘The Longest Night,” we know that the White Walkers will of course be there, and one of the oldest families in Westeros, House Stark, have been confirmed to be part of the show.
Well, ok, let’s get to it. While House Stark is probalby one of the more beloved families of Westeros, House Lannister is the family everyone loves to hate, and it appears as if they won’t appear in the prequel, at least, not initialy, check out what Martin had to say below.
“The Lannisters aren’t there yet, but Castlery Rock is certainly there; it’s like the Rock of Gibraltar. It’s actually occupied by the Casterlys — for whom it’s still named after in the time of Game of Thrones.”

The Casterlys were hoodwinked out of their land, by the founder of House Lannister, Lann the Clever, it is known. Who knows, maybe the Lannisters will show up later?
While many first time viewers took the Starks as the stars and leads, that quickly changed and it was revealed that many players contribute to the show as a whole, and going off what Martin said, the prequel is set to follow suit.
“I hesitate to use the word ‘lead. As you know for Game of Thrones, we never even nominated anybody for lead actress or lead actor [during awards season] until recently; it was always for supporting [categories] because the show is such an ensemble. I think that will be true for this show too. We don’t have leads so much as a large ensemble cast.”
