We may not have an official premiere date for House of the Dragon Season 2, however, we now know it will be in June. Previously we had been given a Summer release window only. However, this confirmation that it will release in June means we can narrow the date down. House of the Dragon is on HBO and will premiere on a Sunday. That means 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd or 30th. Okay, that’s a five week swing, but it’s still narrower than we had last week.
The information we pickled up came from ComicBook.com. As you can see the confirmation only came yesterday.
‘On Monday, during an interview at Morgan Stanley’s Technology, Media and Telecom conference, Warner Bros. Discovery streaming and gaming chief J.B. Perrette revealed that Season 2 of House of the Dragon is premiering at some point in June of this year.’
There has also been a rumor that Amazon wants to release The Rings of Power Season 2 around the same time as this show like they both did in Season 1. Unsure why that would be the case, but it’s worth taking note of in case it does happen.

I am very much looking forward to House of the Dragon Season 2. Season 1 was quality drama, well written, acted and shot. And as a massive fan of Game of Thrones who was left disappointed by the rushed ending rather than the way the show ended i was jaded with the franchise. Yet, I could not ignore that Season 1 of House of the Dragon was beautiful and compelling.
Season 1 ended with a major death in terms of how events will unfold from here. With team Black losing a child to an attack from team Green. So far this has ben the first real bloodshed of the conflict. However, civil war, with dragons is coming.
What do you think of the news that House of the Dragon Season 2 will premiere in June? Thoughts below as always.
