Jee Young Han may play the best friend in Hulu’s family drama series UnPrisoned. Esti Nelson competes for Paige’s attention and has her own little issues in the drama series.

Kerry Washington is in the lead role as Paige as she navigates her family drama by reconnecting with her father and connecting with her teenage soon. The rest of the cast includes Delroy Lindo, Faly Rakotohavana, Marque Richardson, Jordyn McIntosh, and Han.

For the second season, it features guest stars John Stamos as Murphy, Brenda Strong as Nadine, Brandee Evans as Ava, Oliver Hudson as Johnny, and Jamie Chung as Kiki.

Here is the official synopsis:

The Alexander family is still a mess. Paige’s therapy practice is in trouble, Finn’s anxiety is through the roof, Edwin is still figuring out how to get his life together outside of prison, and their relationships are more complicated than ever. The family needs help, and it’s time to call in a professional—

OTHER than Paige. The Alexanders turn to a “family radical healing coach,” who throws out all the rules to free them of the issues, old wounds, and family secrets holding them back.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actress Jee Young Han about the series, her character, and the direction for her in season two.

Jee Young Han carried numerous roles in television and film, including 30 Rock, Young Adult, The Good Wife, Shameless, Grey’s Anatomy, 9-11, Station 19, and Santa Clarita Diet. In 2012, she starred in the comedy film Rhymes with Banana as G. Also, she had a recurring role as Marion King in the Perry Mason series and as Jenna King in Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. On the voice acting side, she voiced Song Oak in the animated series Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts and various characters in Mickey Mouse Funhouse.

All eight episodes of season two of UnPrisoned premieres on Hulu on Wednesday, July 17.
