With technology on the movie it’s very likely that films, and perhaps media content in general is going to continue to become much more immersive. We’ve already seen examples in Universal Studios Florida’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and of course the newest is the Disney Parks’ Galaxy’s Edge.
If you enjoy these types of immersive journeys and you happen to be attending San Diego Comic-Con later this month, you may wanna check out The Batman Experience Powered by AT&T. The exibition will be located at the Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park, and will be open from Thursday, July 18th through Sunday, July 21st. The experience will include a number of different aspects that will make fans feel like their in a Batman story. The attraction is free and a SDCC badge is not needed.
Want to skydive into Gotham City? The attraction features a VR experience called The Dark Knight Dive combining a VR headset with a skydiving booth and takes the user on an adventure in which Scarecrow leads the player through a history of villains. Another feature is the Batman gaming lounge that will have all generations of Batman games, including arcade games, available to play.
Jim Lee, Chief Creative Officer :
“DC is pulling out all the stops for this year’s Comic-Con to celebrate Batman’s 80th, from our dozens of panels to our newly expanded booth which is the largest on the convention center floor — The Batman Experience takes everything to the next level,”
