‘INDEPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE’ Gets Empire Magazine Cover and More Featurettes

We’re a little over a month from seeing the terrifying return of the aliens who blew upthe White House back in 1996’s INDEPENDENCE DAY. Humanity has done all it can to prepare, but will it be enough? We’ll have to wait to see the film to find out, but in true Empire fashion, they’ve managed to snag an exclusive cover for the flick.

Check that out below!

As you can see, the cover has Jeff Goldblum plastered on the front about to get strangled to death by one of the aliens. It looks a bit tongue-in-cheek in its style, and hopefully some of that humor will make its way onto the big screen. I’m all for a death-defying alien attack, but I don’t want to see a sequel like this that takes itself too seriously.

In addition to the cover, we have a couple more featurettes — one focused on director Roland Emmerich, and one focused on one of the film’s new vehicles. Check them out below!

What do you think of the new cove and featurettesr? Let us know in the comments down below!

INDPENDENCE DAY: RESURGENCE hits U.S. theaters on June 24, 2016.
