Inhumans: ABC’s Complete Cast Of Royal Family Is Here! We Will Get Lockjaw!

We have learned the full character cast thanks to a report from THR, including the fact that yes, Lockjaw (the teleporting dog) will be a player in the show.

The Inhumans were introduced by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby (of course his hand was in this) in 1965, but recently they have come on strong in the comics as a major adversary to the X-Men, and have been featured in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but not the same Inhumans that will be explored in the upcoming ABC TV show. Instead, this show will focus on the Royal Family of the Inhumans, who have considerably greater powers than the ones that we have seen on S.H.I.E.L.D.

A very cool thing about this show is that the first two episodes will be shot and featured in IMAX theaters over Labor Day weekend, which is a great promotional technique. Roel Reine will direct these first two hours, and the IMAX run will last two weeks. The show is being written and Produced by Scott Buck, who was involved in Dexter, so that alone gives him credibility. Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are also executive producers, and the show will start its full run for the fall lineup.

But who will be playing their roles? Take a look!

Black Bolt

Anson Mount (“Hell on Wheels”)

The king of the Inhumans, and probably the second most powerful of them all. His voice could level a city if he were to yell, and even a whisper could disable or even kill a human. Mount plays the lead in Hell on Wheels, and with his gruff, tough look, I could see this as a near perfect cast.

Ken Leung (Best known as Miles Straume from “Lost,” and was in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”)

Karnak, in my opinion, is easily the most powerful Inhuman, as he can solve any problem, and can find a weakness in anything. He is Black Bolt’s cousin, and in the comics he was able to bring down a huge building with a touch, make Fantomex look like a school girl, and was able to free himself from Jean Grey’s mind control where she sent him into an alternate plane of existence. Leung should fit this monk-like role exceptionally, and I am quite pleased with this casting as well.

Serinda Swan (“Graceland”)

The queen of the Inhumans, and the only one through empathy can understand Black Bolt’s thoughts, as the king must refrain from speaking. She has gigantic locks of hair that can be manipulated to lash out and pick up heavy objects, and even strangle any adversary. Swan is an interesting choice, and I do not know much about her.

Maximus the Mad

Iwan Rheon (“Game of Thrones” playing Ramsay Bolton)

Brother to Black Bolt, his powers lie in limited mind control, but his main ability is his genius level IQ. He has made great machines capable of doing terrible things, and the only thing scarier than him is the actor that portrays him. Rheon all gave us chills with his purely sadistic character in Game of Thrones, and he may actually be the best cast on the show.

Eme Ikwuakor (“Concussion”)

Another cousin Black Bolt, Gorgon can generate seismic stomps with his hoof like legs, but for some time they have caused him problems and he has flloated around in an electric chair. Recently, in the comics he has been stomping around again, and decided to face off against Collosus — big mistake. I know nothing about this actor, except that he wasin Concussion.

Isabelle Cornish (“Puberty Blues”)

Crystal is Medusa’s sister, and controls the elements. Quite powerful in her own right, she has always been a capable warrior yet a calming voice. Cornish is fairly new, and the best I could find on her was a show called Puberty Blues, which sounds like something I will never watch.

Mike Moh (“Empire”)

Triton looks like Abe from Hellboy, he can swim, and fight a tad bit. Another cousin to Black Bolt.

Sonya Balmores (“Soul Surfer”)

NOT RELATED to the Royal Family, but head of the guard.

Mystery Character

Ellen Woglom (“Californication”)

Here synopsis reads: The mystery character is smart, intense and focused — so focused that oftentimes social skills take a back seat. Her job at a private aerospace company is her life, second only to her passion for all things space and lunar. She’s primed to be swept up in an adventure. Im guessing maybe Iso? Or perhaps a brand new character.

This is a huge teleporting dog, and hopefully the CGI is done well.

All around, it looks like a great cast. What do you guys think? Who could this mystery character be? Do you like the cast? Speak up!
