Interviews with Talitha Bateman and Garry Williams for ‘SO B. IT’

A powerful drama SO B. IT made its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival earlier this month. It is based off the young adult novel written by Sarah Weeks.

The script adapted by Stephen Gyllenhaal and Garry Williams follows a young teenage girl who lives with an autistic mother and a neighbor who suffers from agoraphobia. The girl uncovers the past about her mother and she must trek across the country to uncover the complete story.

The film has a powerful cast with Alfre Woodard, Jessica Collins, Jacinda Barrett, John Heard, Cloris Leachman and Talitha Bateman as the young teen. It is directed by Gyllenhaal.

Latino-Review had a sit-down interview with Bateman and Williams. Bateman discussed working with Woodard and Collins in their challenging roles and she shared certain behind-the-scenes moments. Williams talked about the cast and adapting the pages on to the screen.
