Iron Man’s Bleed Edge Armor Confirmed In Avengers: Infinity War

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War is right around the corner. Today Entertainment Weekly released the covers for this week’s Entertainment Weekly which has 15 different covers featuring 23 different characters from the film. Everyone from Rocket Racoon to the Mad Titan himself Thanos. One that stands out is the Iron Man cover which finally confirms his Bleeding Edge Armor.

Here is the note that accompanies the Iron Man cover:

“Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark will fire up the Bleeding Edge armor, which emerges across his body from a new arc reactor and includes ‘wings’ on the back and arms that serve as rocket boosters into deep space.”

Looks like his new tech will be similar to Black Panther’s suit that Shuri had updated for T’Challa, could she maybe also have had a hand with Tony’s suit as well? This suit as you can see via Entertainment Weekly, includes wings that we have not seen in the MCU before, that also serve as rocket boosters. No doubt that ever since Avengers: Age of Ultron, when he had that ominous premonition, he has been working hard to make sure he has the most efficient suit possible to face any possible threat.

From what we have seen in the trailer, part of the clip shows Iron Man not doing so well against Thanos, so we will have to wait and see how the suit holds up. Could this be one of the last times we see Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark? In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said that he is a “hang up your jersey before they boo you off the court type of guy, just because I still have an appropriate fear of embarrassment”. If you think about it he is the one who started it all back in 2008 in Iron Man, I am not sure the MCU would be the same without him.
