Ironheart Casts ‘Sheedz’ In Undisclosed Role

Disney+ release dates for Marvel across 24/25 revealed in a new sizzle reel, including What If? S3, Ironheart, Wonder Man and more.

Ironheart casts Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola in undisclosed role within the upcoming Marvel Disney+ show reports Deadline. Ironheart is currently filming now ahead of it’s Disney+ release and will star Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, the spiritual successor to Tony Stark.

Williams will make her MCU debut within Black Panther: Wakanda Forever before leading her now Disney+ show. Here is what the trade had to say.

Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola (South Side) has joined the cast of the Marvel Studios Disney+ series Ironheart in an undisclosed role, Deadline has learned.

Marvel reps, as per usual, declined to comment. Olayiwola is a comedian, writer, and actress and currently a staff writer on the HBO Max series South Side. However Olayiwola has made many appearance in front of the camera also. As said above there are no known roles attached to this piece pf casting. That’s true for most of the additional cast members that have been reported on so far.

Ironheart is set to be a six-episode series and will debut around Fall of 2023 on Disney+. Previously announced cast also includes Anthony Ramos, Shakira Barrera, Manny Montana, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Shea Couleé, and Zoe Terakes. Ironheart head writer is Chinaka Hodge who also serves as one of the exec producers alongside Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler.

I won’t even bother with any speculation about this show, since I really don’t know the comic books. Ironheart hadn’t even been created back when I read Marvel comics as a kid. I’m keen for Wakanda Forever and Ironheart to be my first true exposure to the character of Riri Williams. Plus. the MCU always makes adjustments from comics, which they use merely for inspiration.

What do you think of this news as Ironheart casts Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola in undisclosed role? As always, share any thoughts you have below.
