It’s Clobbering Time! Fan-made Fantastic Four Trailer Hits With New Cast!

Remember at the end of Avengers Infinity War when Reed Richards cobwebs his sinewy arms all over Thanos Infinity Gauntlet while The Thing hammers him with his fists? Neither do I? Wishful thinking, I guess.

There’d be nothing cooler than hearing “flame on” as Black Panther pounces a squad of now blazing Chitauri. Fantastic Four is one of the most recognizable brand of characters in the Marvel Universe. Heck, even a hip-hop artist has been inspired enough to take on the moniker of M.F. Doom, and don the iconic metal mask. Way back in 2005 when pre-Captain America, Chris Evans debuted onscreen as Johnny Storm AKA The Human Torch. We hung around after the first movie hoping for the best but were not wowed by the promise of a certain Cosmic Herald and one planet-devouring Galactus.

Unfortunately, fans were not treated to a comic book exact Galactus, and instead got a sentient cloud of nanomachines. Not the form fans had in mind after the introduction of the Silver Surfer, played by Douglas Jones. In 2015 fans got the underwhelming Fantastic Four reboot, this time with director Josh Trank of Chronicle fame at the helm. How’d that turn out? We haven’t seen a sequel, nor any demand for one.

Say what you will about the Fantastic Four films. They did serve as stepping-stones for two of the MCU’s best heroes and villains; Captain America and Kilmonger. Marvel/Disney showed us what potential each actor had to bring to the superhero table.

In a perfect world, we’d get to see our heroes leaping from the Baxter Building headfirst into battle. Until then, one fan has cut together an interesting take on Fantastic Four and cast Vin Diesel as The Thing. It’s clobbering time!
