Some Marvel Barside Buzz today says Jack Duquesne is in Daredevil: Born Again and a live-action World of Wakanda series is in development. The rumors come from Daniel RPK on his Patreon service. Though, I should note one scooper I’m currently not covering (MTTSH) I think did just beat RPK to the punch on the first one. Apparently Jack Duquesne (Tony Dalton) from Hawkeye will appear in Daredevil: Born Again.
We did hear that Born Again would make good use of a few street level cameos. We already know Kamal Kahn’s dad appears in the show from the trailers shown at SDCC. So given that Dalton is absolutley amazing and needs to be worked into these TV series far more, I am hoping this is true. Jack wasn’t the best character so far, in Hawkeye. Though, surely he can be developed because Dalton is one of my favourite actors in the business right now.
RPK also says that early plans were to have Kamal Khan herself show up. However, Daniel claims plans were changed and Kamala no longer appears in Season 1.

The second scoop from RPK this week says that a live-action World of Wakanda series is in development. Of course, this should not be confused with Eyes of Wakanda which is an upcoming animated series. Currently no other details about what this show would be about have been revealed.
Marvel needs TV series that don’t cost as much as movies to make. Therefore, I think World of Wakanda could be a great idea, if true. A cast of interesting people and their lives in Wakanda. It need not be about the Black Panther all the time. Though, that could be brought in when necessary. It would surely also allow a story that can be told in some lower cost indoor locations and focus on character drama as oppose to wonky CGI. Keep the budget for the outdoor shots and seasonal finales. A practice TV shows used to do to keep costs down and production quick.
