Oh, man. It’s been a hot minute since Rush Hour 3 hit theaters way back in the mid-2000s. As a fan of the first two movies, I have to say, I was supremely disappointed in what that movie delivered. As a narrative, it was hot, wet garbage, and as an action film, it was also hot, wet garbage, so there were virtually no redeeming qualities to that movie. As a fan, it was a bummer note for the franchise to end on, and there’s been talk since almost the beginning that there could be a fourth movie.
And in the years since then, talk has circled back to the film time and again, with more recent statements dating back to October of 2017, where Jackie Chan discussed getting a new draft of the script. The more recent one, however, came from Chris Tucker last year, who simply confirmed that it’d be happening. Sadly, things have been radio silent for a while, and I was convinced this wouldn’t actually be happening…but I guess I’d be wrong, as a new photo on Instagram recently surfaced onto co-star Chris Tucker’s account.

As you can see in the photo, the pair are seen with their arms wrapped around each other’s shoulders, each holding up the number four with their free hands. There is no caption on the image, no real verbal confirmation, but seeing as the two haven’t done anything else together that would warrant the pose, it’s easy enough to infer that they’re teasing Rush Hour 4.
But is it too little, too late? I guess what they’ll really have to do is show me a trailer. Put in a trailer with good action and funny jokes and I’ll likely be there. What about you? Let us know down below if you’d be up to see this franchise make a return.
