In a packed Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, Jake “El Gallo” Paul and “Iron” Mike Tyson came face to face today for the final press conference before their highly anticipated bout on Friday, November 15, at AT&T Stadium. The bout, set to be the biggest live gate in U.S. boxing history outside Las Vegas, will stream exclusively on Netflix, marking the first time the platform has hosted a global live boxing event.
Hosted by renowned combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani, the event saw top fighters from the main and preliminary cards taking the stage to share their final thoughts before fight night. The card features a co-main event showdown between undisputed super lightweight champion Katie Taylor and unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano, marking a historic rematch for women’s boxing. Other notable fighters include Mario Barrios, Abel Ramos, Shadasia Green, and Lucas Bahdi.
In a series of intense exchanges, Paul and Tyson discussed the high stakes of the upcoming match. Paul, known for his confidence, declared, “I fear no man. I want [Tyson] to be that old savage Mike… I want the hardest match possible Friday night.” Tyson, a boxing legend at 58, kept his remarks brief but pointed, stating, “I’m just ready to fight… I’m not going to lose.”

Katie Taylor, a legend in her own right, expressed excitement for her rematch with Serrano, reflecting on the journey from her first Madison Square Garden victory and her mission to inspire young female fighters. “Every gym I walk into now is packed with female fighters… inspiring that generation is the best thing we could leave behind,” Taylor said.
Serrano, who has risen through three weight divisions to meet Taylor, emphasized her dedication to making history. “Legacy is very important,” she stated, “but my goal is to inspire these young girls… to show these women that we can make it.”
The event will be broadcast live on Netflix, with commentary in multiple languages. The fight week events wrap up on Thursday with a public weigh-in, streaming across MVP and Netflix channels at 7:00 p.m. ET.
