Us film fans like to really fan the flames of competition in Hollywood. We play up the Marvel and DC rivalry, and we also play the frequent game of box office predictions, throwing them out for all to see and touting them if they end up being remotely true. Though while the rivalries may not be as ridiculous as we’d like them to be, they’re still there at some level. I mean, they have to be, right?
It’s because of this that, whenever a new film breaks records, it’s fun to see filmmakers congratulating each other. At the end of the day, they are all pushing the industry forward, so some solidarity is a delight to see. In this case, we’re talking about the legendary James Cameron and the mammoth film that could, Avengers: Endgame, which has since gone on to defeat Titanic at the box office.

In a recent tweet, Cameron himself congratulated Kevin Feige and everyone at Marvel Studios for their achievement.
“To Kevin and everybody at marvel,
“An iceberg sank the real titanic. It took the Avengers to sink my Titanic. everyone here at Lightstorm Entertainment salutes your amazing achievement. You’ve shown that the movie industry is not only alive and well, it’s bigger than ever.

I can’t help but wonder if Cameron is hard at work putting together an image for Avatar. While it’s not a sure thing, Avengers: Endgame could very well surpass Cameron’s other juggernaut to become the highest grossing film of all time. Do you think it’ll hit that milestone? Let us know down below!
