Check this out as James Gunn debunks Guardians 3 rumor that began yesterday. The outlet in question posted an article about the casting process for Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. However, if you are going to post a scoop about Guardians, better get it right. James Gunn has taken to social media to debunk false stories before and he was out the door here as fast as a thoroughbred.

I won’t cover the detail of the original report, as why bother, it’s not true. What is pretty evident here is that outlet has got this wrong. Whether that is because the outlet themselves are making up scoops, or it’s their source, it’s still false. There’s simply no way Marvel would be casting for the role of Adam Warlock without Gunn’s knowledge as the director.

Normally, the outlet would back down here, apologize and press F to doubt their source. However, either they really trust that source, despite this, or they’re trying to lessen the blow. James Gunn, once again though, was having none of it.

Seems pretty definitive to me? Gunn could easily just say nothing if the story was even close to the mark. When he reacts to these stories it ten ds to be because he’s annoyed how out of whack they are, not annoyed someone hit close to the mark.

Yep, the lesson here is, do not give James Gunn any of your made up scoops. Gunn is fighting back, and I kinda wish other filmmakers would do the same thing. LRM are in the Star Wars scoop game, but not the MCU. However, I get really annoyed by some of the obvious fake Star Wars stories released just to finance people making things up. What annoys me more is that it sells. I could name a few sources who anyone with a logical mind must know are making stories up, yet, they make money. Crazy.

The outlet in question here, well, They’ve lost some faith with me personally. That outlet will have to prove themselves again before we cover any of their stories.
