DCU boss James Gunn has revealed Peacemaker Season 2 directly sets up Man of Tomorrow, plus some more comments and a rumor. Gunn announced the next instalment in the ‘Super Family’ was Man of Tomorrow earlier this week, with the film scheduled for 2027. You can catch all the initial announcement news via the related link below.
However, now Gunn has teased to fans on social media they should be watching Peacemaker Season 2, because it directly sets up the plot of Man of Tomorrow.
“Watch the Man of Tomorrow Prequel AKA #Peacemaker Season 2, airing a new episode tonight on @HBOMax at 9 pm EST/6 pm PST.”
A fan then asked how much it sets up Man of Tomorrow and Gunn replied, “Directly”.
Gunn had a few other comments to post as well.
Here, he answered how much of Man of of Tomorrow he has written?
“All of it. Just in the necessary and lengthy stage or rewriting and rewriting some more. It’s been a lot of fun. Trying to get some done now before Peacemaker airs because we like to watch it as soon as it comes on.”
Here, Gunn was asked if the movie will eventually be called Superman: Man of Tomorrow. Gunn said no and in a separate post, confirmed this is not Superman 2, but a film that Superman is heavily involved in.

Finally today, some rumors from Daniel RPK. Daniel says he’s heard,
“Superman and Lex are gonna team up in Man of Tomorrow,” with Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor serving as a “co-lead” in the movie.
Which to be fair just backs up some information from NPN we shared yesterday, also in the link above. Rumors from NPN also suggest the likes of Supergirl and Lobo may show up also, plus we have teases from Hawkgirl and Green Lantern actors Isabel Merced and Aaron Pierre.
What do you think of Peacemaker Season 2 directly setting up Man of Tomorrow, or the other news/rumors? Thoughts below as always.
FYI: If anyone is wondering where my Episode 2 review is for Peacemaker Season 2 is? Apologies folks. Busy week and I’m planning to watch both episode 2 and 3 this weekend. I’ll therefore, review both for publishing on Monday.
Oh and I’m waiting for Alien: Earth to finish, or get to the finale. Then I can review the full series as I haven’t had time to start that show yet.
