Contrary to to reports earlier this week, Guardians 3 has not begun shooting. James Gunn updates Guardians 3 shooting schedule along with explaining what is shooting right now. Gunn posted a series of posts on social media and replied to questions from fans. Earlier this week Chris Pratt was interviewed saying he was about to begin filming. Gunn has pointed out, whilst this is legit, it’s not for Guardians 3, nor the Holiday Special. Check it out.

Gunn then goes on to confirm that the Guardians Holiday Special is still planned for December 22′, and Guardians 3 for May 23′.

Gunn then goes on to explain that the recent Marvel delays have not had an affect on Guardians 3. He also explains what Chris Pratt is actually filming, as per his recent interview.

I love how candid Gunn is about things like shooting schedules. He’s not spoiling his stories in any way. Gunn just isn’t as secretive about the stuff that isn’t really importnat and is all going to come out eventually before the film anyway. Like recently confirming the casting of Will Poulter as Adam Warlock. I’m sure that was not the plan so early. However once it had been revealed by Deadline, it would have made no sense to try and keep it secret.

I wish other directors would be as open as Gunn is towards his fan base. He’s not selling the secrets to the castle, he’s just engaging with fans who have a genuine interest in how these movies come together.
