James Wan Claims Malignant Will Be ‘Something New And Different In Second Trailer For Horror Film

Malignant

Just as we are wrapping up one horror film, James Wan returns to remind us of his eye for horror with Warner Bros. Pictures’ Malignant. He is responsible for franchises like The Conjuring and Insidious. Today was the release of the second trailer for the film, which also included a little bit of commentary from Wan himself. Check it out below!

“I wanted to do something that was a bit different, but harken back to my roots,” said Wan during the trailer, “you gotta take chances. If you don’t, you end up making the same thing again and again. I think audiences are starved for something that’s new and different.”

Wan certainly knows how to spook audiences, Malignant looks no different. In the trailer, we see that he is going to use a whole arsenal of techniques to scare us. Especially light and sound. It will be interesting to see what he does in this film to be “different” as he states. With his track record, I’m buckling up for the ride!

Here is the synopsis for Malignant

In the film, Madison is paralyzed by shocking visions of grisly murders, and her torment worsens as she discovers that these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities.
