Bourne fans are no doubt thrilled at the idea of seeing a brand new installment of the franchise — one that actually sees the return of the titular character. 2012 saw the franchise branching off in a whole new direction. With THE BOURNE LEGACY, Jeremy Renner’s character was introduced as the new lead, with Jason Bourne himself being nothing but a footnote to the story. With JASON BOURNE, the filmmakers and studio are clearly taking things back to basics.

The movie’s a short month and a half away from its release, and as such, the marketing machine is about to kick it into high gear. We’ve seen some trailers and TV spots, and today, Universal released a new poster for the film, which features actors Matt Damon and Alicia Vikander.

Check it out below!

JASON BOURNE sees Matt Damon returning to one of his most iconic roles as sleeper agent Jason Bourne. Paul Greengrass also returns to the director’s chair for the franchise for the third time, following successful films THE BOURNE SUPREMACY and THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM.

JASON BOURNE hits theaters on July 29, 2016.
