It really did happen.

One of the darkest moments of the late Senator Ted Kennedy’s life has come to the big screen in Chappaquiddick.

The film stars Jason Clarke, Kate Mara, Ed Helms, Clancy Brown, Olivia Thirlby, Bruce Dern and Jim Gaffigan. It is directed by John Curran and written by Taylor Allen and Andrew Logan.

Chappaquiddick is the untold true story surrounding the scandal and mysterious events of Mary Jo Kopechne’s drowning as Senator Ted Kennedy drove his car off the infamous bridge after a party.

LRM sat down to interview with Jason Clarke, who played Ted Kennedy in the film. He talked about his transformation and even meeting the late senator once.
