After Dark Phoenix ended Fox’s X-Men universe with a whimper rather than a bang, fans are already wondering when Marvel will reboot the X-Men for inclusion in the MCU. It is almost definitely going to happen at some point, but how and when, more difficult to answer?
This means at some point Marvel Studios is going to have recast Logan (aka Wolverine) after Hugh Jackman played the character so memorably over the years. One actor has tentatively thrown his hat into the ring for the most popular X-Men character, there’s just one problem, he’s currently playing Aquaman for WB in the semi-rival DCEU.
Being questioned at the recent Celebrity Fanfest (yep, that’s a thing), Jason Momoa said that if he was ever to appear in the MCU, he would love to play The Wolverine. Check out the footage courtesy of Jeremiah Marshall below.

Now there are several problems with Momoa playing Wolverine for Marvel, so let’s discuss them, shall we? For one I think the actor is far too big physically to play Logan, yeah I know so was Jackman, but Momoa is a LOT bigger than Jackman. Secondly, he’s kinda already got the lead role as another superhero and will most definitely be getting a sequel reasonably soon. I have a feeling actors are generally not allowed to cross over, but of course, that’s more of a guess than anything solid.

Lastly, we also have to consider that Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios has intimated that it could be five years plus before they work out where and when to bring the X-Men into the MCU. By that time I think Momoa would be far too old to playa thirties looking, but never aging Logan.
